New Music Monday. Here’s a tune from the first-time team of Dazy and Militarie Gun. Both are fairly new projects that began during the pandemic. According to Stereogum, Dazy is James Goodson, a punk from Richmond who started recording his own fuzzed-out lo-fi power-pop tracks in 2020. Goodson is also a publicist, and one of his clients is L.A. based Militarie Gun. To date, Miliatiare Gun has released three EP’s, which are a little more “hardcore” than this collaboration. The Doc knew nothing about either of these bands or their collaboration until today – when he heard this tune on the local college radio station on the way back from the gym. (Yes, the Doc does hit the gym.) It certainly has that earlier 90’s sound to it, don’t you think?
