New Music Monday. Whatever happened to good old fashioned, sleazy hard rock, glam rock, hair metal with sing along choruses? Oh, it’s still around you stay. Bands from the era still tour and have become nostalgia acts you say. Okay – but what about any new bands, bands not from somewhere in Europe, but a good old American, home-grown sleazy rock band that carries the torch. Well, this is exactly what we have this week - Skarlett Roxx. These four lads from Iowa put together a band, released a few singles, and have their debut album coming out on Friday, November 25th. The upcoming album titled Skarlett’s Web was recorded in Iowa City and will include some contributions from two former band members. That’s about all I know and can find out about this band. The Doc knows this tune won’t be for everyone, but play it loud, and sing along and just maybe you’ll dig it as much as the Doc does.
