New Music Monday. Today we have a band out of Chicago that I had not heard of until just recently. I guess I’m not hip to the Chicago music scene as I once was as a youth. Sincere Engineer is a female led four piece that plays their own version of indie punk, pop punk, alternative rock. What I really like about them, and this tune in particular are the lyrics – both funny and cynical at times. This tune “Fireplace” is their latest single, as the band is currently on a European tour, returning to the states in July. They’ve released two full-length albums and have a handful of singles under their belt. For those of you who dig the insanity of Lollapalooza, they will be there, so check them out.
