New Music Monday. I find it interesting when I find a new tune I like, how hard it can be to get information about the band. That’s the case here with these Southern California rockers The Legendary Swagger. They have a Facebook page, but other than that, no real presence on the internet. From what I can gather, they have been rockin’ for at least 14 years now, with an album released back in 2008. They have a power pop, pop punk sound reminiscent of some early 90’s bands like The Junk Monkeys and Hellen Keller Plaid. They have some photos on their Facebook page that include a Hanoi Rocks disk and The Replacements “I’m in Trouble” single – so of course, The Doc instantly digs them just for that. And speaking of Hanoi Rocks, it seems the lead singer also plays the saxophone, a la Michael Monroe.
