New Music Monday. What do you get when you have a group of longtime rockers from bands like Blondie, The Plimsouls, and The Fleshtones? Well, you get the world’s best unknown supergroup that has found the time in between other projects and gigs to release two albums in 10 years. The Split Squad is made up of rock-n-roll veterans who plunder their collective sensibilities and record collections to create some of the outstanding garage-power-punk-pop-classic-big-dumb rock, or so they say on their website. They have finally found some time in their schedules to recently record and release a new album late last year. Here’s the lead track from their second album, Another Cinderella.
